Thanks all and for very politely not telling me to piss off with my sweeping statements.
I'm not sure I see the logic in the point made about 'owners and mechanics' - should a car's electrics need to be worked on or replacements sorted (cheaply) after 10-15 years of life? We are not talking about Citroen here. If there are duff parts (Motorola) then Audi should have sourced better parts.
It's only the electrics I hate. The fuel efficiency is great, the turning circle is great, the reduction in corrosion is great, it is stylish compared to it's contemporaries, it's got a decent crash test result - but the electrics? Not so much
Anyway, I won;t labour the point - promise I won't diss the electrics again!
