How do I re-code to disable alarm?

I need to re-code the central convenience unit temporarily so the car thinks it doesnt have an alarm.

Currently the soft coding is 06859

Its a 1.6 FSI.

I have found this link:

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A4_(8E)_Comfort_System

But I'm not sure if I should simply subtract 1, subtract 4096, subtract 1+4096 etc.

I dont want to simply disable the interior sensors, I need to disable the entire alarm until the car can get to the dealer later this week.

Can someone help?

Hi,

Simple answer from me is I don't know.....however if you've got access to VCDS then why not just try re-coding and see what happens. You can change or go back with ease.

**Edit**

Just had a look at the coding table and I would code to 06851 ( - 8 )
+00008 = Anti-Theft Warning System

Looks like this will disable the full alarm system.

Below is the standard coding for a 1.4 TDi, and it matches your coding, so assume it's the same for the 1.6 FSi.

4096 - Indicators flash for unlock
2048 - Window lifters disabled when ignition off
512 - Indicators flash for lock
128 - UK, right-hand drive vehicle
64 - Windows up/down with remote
8 - Alarm enabled
2 - Indicators flash when alarm tripped
1 - Alarm deactivated when deadlocks disabled

As thought - code to 06851 and you should be all good but with the alarm disabled.

A quick update.

Having been unable to simply remove '8' from the code, I asked over on the German forum http://www.a2-freun.de and got an explanation.

To disable the alarm you need to remove functions 8+2, so subtract 10 from the existing code. Not quite sure why this works but it does
