how long does a clutch last

Did you at any point ‘cook’ the clutch? That can cause because of excess heat distortion in the friction plate which gives clutch judder.

It was already juddering to a lesser extent when I first got it nearly two years ago, but live-able with. However 10k later it was becoming harder to engage smoothly. Given some front bumper/undertray damage on one corner that it also came to me with, I now wonder if someone had got caught up on a low obstacle, and tried too hard to pull the car off it on the clutch.
