How many Dutch people here

As we have bought a new tent trailer for next years holiday I had to travel 2 days in a row to a place in the Netherlands who was quite far away.
But as we see here in the Alkmaar area hardly ever one A2 on the road.
We saw thursday when we drove in our A2 about 6 different ones but not even one of them blinked greeted our anything like it.
So they probaly dont read the forom our this web page.
Today *(friday) I had to travel this same route again and once again I had a long traffic jam from an hour our so because of an accident I was driving my other car *(a fiat scudo van [:eek:)]with Audi a 2 club stickers on it) and while waiting on the middle of the motorway the men who drove the A2 came to me and asked how he can become a member.
Maybe it is an idea to get the URL from this site to the importers of the car our the audi magazine which every Audi owner here in the Netherlands get from the importer.
As I saw so many A 2 last couple of days I wondered how many are from the Netherlands?

btw the traffic jam with all the A 2 s on it was on our Dutch motorway called the A 2:)

To see six A2’s in a day would have me thinking that everyone owned one, because my 17 month record has only been two in the same day – and this includes 300 mile trips to the north of my home, and to the west. In terms of other drivers not flashing their lights I can only conclude that they are a miserable lot with a zero sense of camaraderie or humour.

Funnily enough I also live very close to a main road and motorway A2 (and M2 – London to Dover), and I’m certain that if you drove along there you would get a flash. Should this ever happen just move over and let me go past. I am after all Double Dutch.

6 in one day must be a record and I think this should be verified by the forum members.

Like John my record is a dismal and disappointing 2, although at the time it is difficult to describe the excitement I experienced on sighting the second A2. I thought just for a moment that national sales were taking off!

I live off the A259 so if you drop the 5 and 9 that gives you A2 - a bit pathetic really!

Here's another proud Dutch A2-owner and A2-clubmember.
I do flash my lights and wave when I meet another person driving an A2, but the other driver never reacted until now.
Don't see many other A2's though (certainly not 6 a day!), and when I do, they're mostly parked. Have been thinking of putting a paper with the A2-OC URL and the A2-Forum URL under their windscreen wiper, but haven't done that yet.

Is your car repaired alright?

Yup, I always blink to other A2's, but they never blink back.

One time though, I parked my A2 in a garage in Leiderdorp, where a very attractive lady in the car next to me beamed a smile at me. When I noticed she was sitting in an A2, I couldn't help smiling back.

Unfortunately I'm married already. It could have been the perfect love story :p

I'm from Leiden. My record is 2 A2's on a day (after driving about 200 miles).
 
Here in Germany, I see about 8 A2´s in average in the 10 miles I drive to work ... all the major rental car companies have A2´s...:-(
Once in a while, someone waves back, but not very often...

Hi,

I'm dutch too.

Everyday I travel from Rotterdam via Utrecht to Hilversum but I never see an A2. But if I do see one I blink and wave.

Sometimes they even wave back :)

For a few months now, the car parked next to mine at work is also an A2 TDI, though I've never met the owner (he/she arrives and leaves later than I do). I see A2's every day, once three in a row (honest).
The A2 is a notorious road in Belgium - I don't have to take it but I pass it. (it's a four-lane motorway; jams guaranteed!)

Here's another proud A2 owner from The Netherlands.
When i do see another A2, i do flash my lights, but so far no reactions at all.:(
