How to recycle a 1J0973702 2 pin connector.

These connectors have multiple applications around an A2 and they get damaged from time to time. Each new set of front brake pads comes with a 1J0973702 fitted with stiff solid copper wire. If you can replace this wire you can reuse the connector taken from an old pad.

Remove the terminal retaining bar:

Extract the old pins

Fit new seals and strip the insulation:

Crimp on new terminals:

Insert terminals push home seals and retaining bar, one connector recycled for use elsewhere:
