Information How To Reduce Drag From 0.28 to 0.20 (Scholastic more than anything)

It reminds me, the best mpg I've had from mine is when I have steel wheels with Audi 100 flush wheel trims.

O.t.; Marco, is Throttle Control to do with the accelerator pedal?

MikeMarsUK - Sorry I never knew that it had already been posted.

nuttinnew - yes throttle control is to do with the accelerator, it gives me three options, 1. Eco, 2. Medium and 3. High, and each setting has an increase of 3 and decrease of 3, so you get your ideal throttle response. In a nut shell it makes the throttle more responsive, but makes such a difference to the car overall.

and 'Eco' throttle response!? Is that just 'ignore any input for acceleration'? ;P

LOL, no the eco setting just gives it more bite low down making it easier for the driver to ''ride the torque'' as the saying goes!

Hi!

Just to satisfy my curiosity -- what is involved in giving it more bite low down (in the rev range)?

Ikimiki – I’m no expert, but to try and answer your question, here goes.
The ‘bite low down’ in the rev range, is only achieved by altering the ignition cycle along with changing the amount of boost delivered by the turbo at a certain time. But this is only achieved by a re-map and or chip. The throttle control is more like a bionic foot, which is always in the right place at the right time, dependant on the setting you have chosen, which allows for a more pleasurable driving experience overall.
Basically all it provides is the sensation of power down low, as you are using less pedal action but achieving greater results. But of course, to have this increased power on tap you will have had to have either remapped your car, or purchased a good chip.
