'How To' Removing dried on Bird Poop

If I have the dreaded dried on Bird Poop on my cars, then what I do is get some TOILET TISSUE, completely soak it, and leave it on top of the done deed and leave it to soak a few minutes, sometimes you will need to re-soak it a few times to let it fully rehydrate, then you can wash it off without any damage to the paintwork. ;)

It really does work and it is important to only use the humble (lol) toilet tissue as it doesn't absorb the water as opposed to Kitchen roll or the like. Try it! :)

Also best to clean it off ASAP after it makes its appearance in the first place.

i intend to have a set of baby wipes! :p does the trick instantly LOL

Andre

Baby wipes are great, but when the damned stuff has dried on it needs re-hydrating by soaking which then just wipes away effortlessly. Boy have I seen some serious damage caused to paintwork just by cleaning attempts :)

A good wax in the first place will stop any effect's from the acid ;), another trick if you have got bird lime that has eaten into your paint a heat gun, get the heat gun very close and the heat will lift it up onto the surface and then it will just wipe off with a cloth;)

Just thought i would add my two cents

never try to remove the dried on stuff in one sitting. . . Get a soaking wet cloth and put it over the crap patch. . . Leave to soak (resoak the cloth it required) and then spray with hose

if you get it right the poop will just fall off with no abrasion or rubbing on the paintwork

Thanks guys fror some great tips.

We have so many birds here that all want to make their Mark on my car, these great tips will come in very useful.

Cheers
