How to turn alarm off - dogs in car!

HI there
Sorry if this is super basic but id like to be able to lock my car (1.4 petrol 2021) without the interior sensor (or if easier alarm) activated
My dogs keep setting the alarm off!
there is a button on the driver door pillar .... does this turn off the sensor? I cant see anything changing when i press it

Yes it should light up when you press it, does the dash show a door open when the drivers door is open?
 
The BUTTONS illuminate when the door is opened if the microswitches are working. To deactivate the interior sensor now press the button and the tell tale light on the button illuminates. Lock the car and good to go.
 
I think that the interior sensor defaults to being 'on' after the car's been locked so you'd need to set it to 'off' every time.
 
That is correct. Each time you lock the car you will need to press the button before you do so. There is no permanent OFF facility.
