I bought an A2 1.6 FSI

Good Afternoon,

Sympathy, it does sound a dire situation.

There might well other factors at play of which we are not aware, but on the face of it you presented a car to the garage that had a fault and you supplied the parts to fix it. The car is now virtually a write off, I would not be happy but fear there is nothing you can do about it.

hi all, after some checks by my usual mechanic, it seems that the car has neither a cracked head nor a burnt head gasket. At the moment there are no elements to believe that the car has this type of failure.
we did not understand why the mechanic who replaced the lower intake manifold assumed this malfunction. the only thing that seems to make sense to me is that he was in bad faith, so I would have commissioned him to repair the damage to the cylinder head, or I would have sold the car to a dealer of his acquaintance.

Good news indeed.
So, where are you now?
Have you got an up to date vcds scan?
If you have access to vcds, download the new lable file recently posted by @Andrew and see what you have to deal with.
Mac.
