I cannot access the marketplace

I have donated £2 a few days ago and I still cannot access the marketplace.

Why might that be?

I’m sure Ian @Proghound will pick this up soon enough. It might be that you donated opposed to upgraded.

I’m sure this will be resolved for you.

Ian is it worth reposting how to upgrade to the market place as a few new members have done this lately.

I actually did the same thing when I donated a year or two ago, which I gather is why my user name says member rather than donor?

Fortunately I already had access to the marketplace from having being a member from many years ago, so this wasn't my reason but I just felt it was the right thing to do.

While I'm on the subject and out of interest, does anyone know where you can see the date you joined?

Strange though I've just done that and it shows my email address and other options but not what you have shown, maybe it's because I'm using the mobile app?

Just above your email address, I see my account if I click that, I get a drop down that includes account upgrades, which shows market access.
I'm using Chrome browser on an Android phone.
I made a modest donation last year some time, but member status never changed.

Yes, I've just followed your instructions and it then states 'Purchased Upgrades' and mine says 'Market Access' which never expires, so I have done it, probably sometime long ago then did it again for good measure but that's fine👍

Could someone just confirm then the requirements and procedure of how an account would change from 'member' to 'donor'?

It used to be automatic through the forum software but it's now a manual process for Admin. This is one I am able to fix for you, hope it now suits? :)

I donated via this page and I have a receipt from PayPal.
Since you did a direct donation rather than upgraded your account through the process that Tom @2work posted, this doesn't activate the Market access. This isn't something that I can fix for you however I know the people who can, I'll flag it up on the Admin forum for someone with all the tools to check and manually activate for you. Please bear with us - or you could always go through the correct Market access procedure at the cost of a further £2, which would also mean that you would similarly deserve Donor status from your first attempt.

I have followed the advice above and it transpires that yes I was a wally and had just donated rather than going through the upgrade account link in my profile.
All paid up and happily accessed the marketplace!

Hi. Hope you can help me. Tried to donate today but when I filled the form it said my email address already exists so I tried to login in. Then the right password was wrong. So I reseted it twice. No email received yet. Just wondering if I done something wrong or the system playing up? Tia
