Totally agree with your suggestion that Sarge's fantastic 'Service' thread needs to be a sticky in the service and repairs section.

Help - O/S driveshaft removal

I’ve got to replace the spring so will remove the strut, hub, and driveshaft in one. I have undone the 6 driveshaft bolts and the drive shaft pulls out about 30mm then refuses to move further. Is the driveshaft held in place by anything else such as a circlip? The N/S one came out easily after...

Cruise control

Hello everyone. I tryed to install cruise control to 1.4tdi using this diagram,I did also activate using vcds and it doesn't work. Instead x2 bw wires I had 2 brown... but when I test buttons,some of them work . Any ideas? Maybe I need to change brake pedal sensor?
