Hello Frawley,
It must be a "bad indicator" day for A2 owners. If you click on the forum tab above and scroll down to maintainance you will see thread relating to indicators which is current for today. Hope this helps and its an easy fix.

They are the symptoms of the indicator relay failing.

They are not super expensive and can be replaced without tools.

The relay is hidden behind the bottom cubby hole in the centre dash.

Open the ashtray, put your hand in as far as you can, make a fist so that your hand is a tight fit and PULL !!!!!

The cubbyhole will come out and you will find the relay (a square plastic box) towards the back of that space.

Unplug the old and plug in the new.

Job done!!

Why not get them to pay for the part and have a go at fitting it, MUCHO satisfaction and the start of a learning curve about our quirky little A2s.

They are a great car Spud, pleased you are happy with yours - it may be worth having a diagnostic check whilst its still under warranty just in case there are any other minor gremlins.

Now that's sounds good, just getting to know the car finding out what everything is and what there for. Had a great one yesterday being clever went to fill up and could not find the button to release the fuel cap and the booklet was at home. Dick of the day had to go home to find out thanks Steve

Thanks Dave yes it is worth a trip ,let's see what happens today with the garage but will post later cheers

Been on to me today just bull**** from garage saying only gearbox and head gasket under warranty oh well at least it's better than nowt, also he said it could be the relay in the hazard switch as he has been told and to press the hazard switch a few times and it should cure the fault god they don't half talk **** tried it like a dick lol but of course no joy relay switch being bought tomorrow. The hazards work fine and everything else is A1 so I will try and fit it myself, god that should be fun lol

If you're willing to drive up the M6 by one junction, I'll happily fix your indicators and have a glace over your A2.

Cheers,

Tom (in Lancaster)

Hi Spud,

Sorry for the late reply; I've been in the Lake District all day.

I have indicator relays and indicator stalks, so no matter where the problem lies, I'm sure I'll be able to fix it. Unfortunately for you, I am busy tomorrow and am working in London on Monday, but I would happily do the job on Tuesday. Let me know if that suits.

Cheers,

Tom
