Inspired by other emails I thought I would tell of my experience with my A2

The car is an A2 1.4 TDI sport

Colour Met Silver

options fitted

Bodykit
Front Foglamps
Sat Nav +
Bose upgrade
CD Changer
Alcantara/ leather
Open Sky
Climate
Acoustic Parking
False boot floor
Pentagon Window tints
Nokia Bluetooth

I think thats the lot!

I had been using a Smart Car for the past 3 years to commute to work in it covered 50000km
of hassle free motoring, absolutely nothing went wrong except a boot release catch, which was fixed by Smart at my workplace Maidenhead Berkshire.

About 8 months ago I decided to change the car to something larger ie 4 seats, criteria, inexpensive to run and well made.
I decide on the A2 after seeing a few etc, test drove a couple and decided on the Diesel.

I have had the car for 5 months covered 6500 miles since then I have had a Digitec conversion done on the ECU which transformed the car . So far so good no problems at all, I never get below 400 miles to a tank of diesel.

If you are interested take a look

Spooky - exactly what I'm upgrading from .... Saj as a matter of interest you're not the same saj who had the Subaru Sti ...

Hi Saj,
That's some spec!!

Is it lowered or is it the body kit that gives it that effect?
What do you think to the SAT NAV, would you recommend it?

Regards
Shaf

Nov 2002 TDi Sport, Silver,Black/grey interior, climate. Replaced previous Mar 2001 TDi SE

Yes Mr Evo the same that s me STi V, getting sensible now hence A2.

Shaf no the car is not lowered that bodykit creates that effect although the car is on a slight angle.

I use the Sat Nav almost everyday for a standard (optional fit) its better than Most. Yes I would suggest getting it as long as you are going to use it, I had a car a while ago did not use that car for work so never really used the Sat Nav.

Saj - Small world ! - I did the Subaru thing with the Sti's + 22B .. then the Evo, then (Getting sensible) the smart and now the A2.

I notice you've got the Bose upgrade - I remember you were 'into car hi-fi' is the Bose *really* worth the £400 for such a small car ?

Yes the Bose is worth every penny, I personally think it is underpriced.

Hi Saj!

where have you buy that bodykit? It looks great!

BR,

Mr Finland

Yes Saj, where did you get that bodykit? I have scoured the net looking for places that supply the Audi approved kit (yours is the approved kit yeah?) and have had no luck at all. And yes, I did try Audi!

If you dont mind me asking, what sort of price did you pay for the kit? Fitting?

Cheers!

Phil. Anxiously awaiting collection of a TDi Sport with Climate and OpenSky...

Hi Phil

I saw it in my dealers showroom, They ordered it and fitted it, not sure of exact cost but after haggling with the bits on the car I think about £900.

Hope this helps

Saj

Thanks Saj, me thinks I'll need to grease the money wheels with the boss first. (i.e - take my lovely wife on holiday...!) ;)

Phil. Taking delivery of a TDi Sport with Climate and OpenSky... Tomorrow morning!
