Interior Problems

My 2002 A2 has a light cloth interior and any hint of water leaves a stain on the seat covers. In the last set of snow my wife got in the car wearing a fleece top with a few specs of snow upon it. On getting out of the car we found numerous marks had been left on the seats. Audi have been spoken to and basically don't want to know. Has anyone else had this problem and if so did they get it resolved. Also any product out there that can stop this happening.

We had the same problem with our 2001 A2 1.2TDI, the only solution is to clean the WHOLE seat with water so it does not leave stains..... I wonder who makes decisions like these @ Audi!

Thanks frido for the reply. I take it that the stains will reappear and then you have to reclean the whole seat again. Frustrating that you think you've bought a quality car to find that mere water can stain it. I've had some cheap and nasty cars in my time but they never got stained seats.... unbelievable

i know the feeling, my daughter put her swimming bag on the back seat of my light grey seats. Seat was slightly damp now have a lovely stain their. I've decided not to do anything untill i sell the car. But if anyone has tything that works well post it up.

Can you put something on the seats, like a Scotchguard for carpet? There must be something out there. I know you can buy cans of Scotchguard as I have one lurking in the cupboard, I'll have a look when I get home and see what it is suitable for!

Just had a look on their site http://cms.3m.com/cms/US/en/2-78/ikkliFP/view.jhtml seems like you can Scotchgard anything, but noticed one for "Scotchgard™ Protector for Rugs, Carpets & Autos", says for auto carpets but maybe one of the other products is more suitable.

Looks like I'm going to have to give the seats a steam clean. Your suggestion to the Scotchguard seems the best idea. After posting this reply I'll give the site a look.
