Intermittent boost after 2000rpm help

Apologies in advance for the vagueness of this problem. Driving home last night and felt the dreaded loss of boost I've had in the past on another A2. To my surprise no need to reset engine as the boost kicked back In again almost straight away. I have no experience of this and can't find any threads on it. After 2300rpm boost is back. Things to note: occasional cloud of blue grey smoke only on first start in morning very rare any other time. Fresh oil leak under rubber hose pictured, at the jubilee clip end (which is opposite way around to the picture which shows a LHD engine). Does anyone know what the hose is called and does? Whistle from turbo is louder than I remember. Seems fine when revved to 3000rpm whilst stationary. I know I need a scan but just wondering if anybody has any ideas before I

Should add its 1.4 tdi 75bhp amf 02 plate 170k just been serviced fuel filter done about 10 months ago without any issues. Does approx 20k miles a year with lots of 80mph+ and steady 60mph journeys every day. Was advised oil leak around turbo seal.
 
Turns out this fault was the dual G71/72 sensor, genuine part fitted and boost great fun once again.
