Hi there,

Just thought I would introduce myself…
I’m not currently an owner but hoping to be soon. Actually I had my eye on the immaculate low mileage 1.6 FSI example for sale at Silverwood Classics in Gateshead. Alas when I called to arrange to go and view the car last week I was told it had just been sold. Isn’t that always the way.
Anyway, that’s what I’m looking for, 1.6 FSI low mileage, tidy condition, panoramic roof. If it’s silver, even better.

It sounds like you have a healthy budget Graham. The FSI is the least reliable of the models, but also the most refined.

Make sure you buy a good one in the first place and you should have a good experience.
 
Also be sure to research all you can about the FSI and what it needs. You will also find the most common issues and hopefully their fixes.

So my advice is read, read, read.
