IONIQ 5 - Reservation starts 25th Feb - delivery of the 3000 first ones planned for June/July - Cost ?

You should remember that driving a car is a privelege, not a right.

For mining, look up cornishlithium.com.

Lastly, if you think that taking carbon from the ground and putting it in the atmosphere is sustainable, you're in for a big shock!

Is human breathing a privilege as well then? Every second 7 billion people exhale around the world. Is this figure needed to be reduced to 1 billion
to meet the carbon footprint objectives? And who will decide who is allowed to stay?

Let's not let this thread get derailed with the politics please, gents. Current EV progress is of interest since the A2 is such a good candidate for a future retrofit, but contentious posts aren't going to add any value to the topic.

The only difference is that the carbon that people breath out is not extracted from the ground in a way that adds carbon to the carbon cycle. The carbon that people breath out is just part of the natural carbon cycle.

42% if the Project 45 cars (3000 worldwide) reserved by Norwegians. 14000 Norwegians had announced their interests for the car.

@dieselfan : you one of the 42%?

@Olerype - I got the "sorry you are not among the chosen ones" mail instead ;)

Though, Hyundai did not do this as announced... some obstacles were used to divide the traffic out on a larger window....
- the button to click to apply the reservation was NOT visible in all browsers, I used two of the "wrong" browsers...?
- did not use "incognito" setting
- did not think of that the official "receipt" would not work, so I did not go to another page, and I did not click on the Ioniq 5, and therefore I did not get the chance to reserve the car.... ?
- did not scan relevant forums for the information that Hyundai did not distribute ?

Two full days wasted.
My impression of the brand Hyundai is reduced to something like a pot of vomit
I hope they do better EV cars than they seems able to make a fair "first come, first served" competition....

I would say nuclear is green energy; it will come sooner or later just a matter of time and change og peoples mindset.
When the "safe" life of nuclear waste is measured in tens of thousands of years?
That's some green legacy.
Chernobyl should have told us all we ever needed to know about nuclear.
