Is there any 20 valve turbo's out there ?

Sorry if this post in the wrong place ,but id like to know if anyones fitted a 20vt to a A2's .

Was it a red A2 ?.
if yes , thats the one i saw but cant find ..
 
Well guys not sure if he still owns this anymore or if he's still on the forum but here's a link to someone that fitted MYTA2, and let me tell you this was fast i had the pleasure of being a passenger around Castle Combe race track at ADI (Audi Driver international)

Ive brough a 05 plate very dark metallic blue (looks like black from a distance ) 1.6 fsi to do the 20 valve turbo conversion with .
So anybody that can guide me with advice in what i need to build a missile of a Audi A2 ,then im all ears ...

You’ll need the smallest 1.8t which I believe is the one that was used in the 9n gti polo. You may want to look at the mounts for the lupo 1.8t conversation as the fsi engine shares the same mounts as the lupo petrol engines, will need to get wiring diagrams and spend lots of time reading them.

I would say, you'd need about 50 hours and minimum £5000 to complete the whole change properly, that excluding the uprated suspension, stronger brake system, probably a votex kit balance the heavier engine, etc etc. I'd say all in all around £10.000. Give or take a bit.

I believe it would cost a lot more, especially creating the loom, as it would need to be an a2 fsi/ 1.8t hybrid loom. (Fsi as there aren’t enough wires in the 1.4 loom) the alternative would be a whole custom loom.

It will require fab work, custom inlet (maybe), custom manifold, exhaust, drive shafts.

Would also be recommend to overhaul the engine before it went in. Etc etc

Please share which parts you have so far sourced .

I have so far brought the doner car ..
A cobalt blue 05 plate 1.6 fsi .
Looking to source a low milage BAM engine .

Maybe worth taking the 1.6 out first to work out dimensions, it would be the first a2 with a K04 1.8t I’m sure, all others are K03 versions due to size
