Is the gearbox 6 speed .just getting all the parts together at the moment . But the car is already running with fabia VRS front hubs and brakes .
I have the gearbox and driveshafts from fabia.
Car has Audi S4 fuel pump in it too.
No using a PD100 5 speed gearboxI
Is the gearbox 6 speed .
is the fabia engine Bam 225bhp ?.
Also what other parts of the fabia can be used in the conversion .
Also have you tried to mount it in position ..
Why ?.No using a PD100 5 speed gearbox
Why ?.
Great info pal ..Smaller yes,
1.hydraulic lines are in the same place as the 1.4
Driveshafts from the fabia are the right size too, so just fit.
Lower gearbox mount fits to the original a2 subframe .
You can you the fabia top gearbox mount with the A2 bracket on the N/s too
Surely mid engined would be a bit more forwardThe first mid-engined A2
this position resolves the nose-heavy weight distribution ..Surely mid engined would be a bit more forward
It was just a bit of banter I think, rather than having a dig at the project. Having seen what you did previously with the BCB engine in a 1.4, i'm sure you are the man for the job.Enough of the jokes . Will start a new page with I start putting the spare A2 apart for the conversion
No ones having a dig at the project because theres more than one person doing or wanting to do this conversion ...It was just a bit of banter I think, rather than having a dig at the project.
I know LolIt was just a bit of banter I think, rather than having a dig at the project. Having seen what you did previously with the BCB engine in a 1.4, i'm sure you are the man for the job.
I've seen your threads about the different builds, really great effort and results there.I know Lol
The car that is getting the 1.8 is the car that is running the BCB at the moment.
And more .....Also the thread about 250hp build would be epic for sure. Thanks.
The 1.6 BCB in the car now is fun, we got 125mph GPS from it and pulls in all gears. I have done about 10k on the engine .I've seen your threads about the different builds, really great effort and results there.
I've got a 1.4 petrol and planning to make around 100hp instead of factory 75, which is after 20 years is more like 67.
What do you recommend, is it still a fabia engine the best solution or can be done using the current engine?
Also the thread about 250hp build would be epic for sure. Thanks.
