If not I would think a wide cable tie could be used as a basic replacement, depending on what you can engineer.

I can engineer something but just would have liked new Audi Vw part ...I wasn’t trained at bodgit and scarper ltd ..?

A correctly sized cable tie isn't bodgit……....it'll last just as well...…..or a stainless hose clamp would do the same thing

Many thanks both new struts and complete suspension deserve £16 extra quid spent .. I will order up from Skoda they are not far from me always cheaper same part number ..happy new year ??
