Finally . . . . . . . Broke down last night on the way to dinner, with more jerkiness and finally a warning light this time ((!)+ abs+ warning triangle). It felt like the car was spluttering and struggling to continue forwards. I pulled over and waited for the AA patrol to arrive who found no fault codes logging on his computer (no surprise there) and low and behold the car started and drove home with no problems at all!

Drove to the garage this morning and they hooked it up to the Diagnostics (again) and WOOP WOOP I have FAULT CODES registering. Something to do with the Fuel Injector and or wiring fault related to the injector. Taking the car back to the garage on wednesday for a new wiring loom to see if that fixes the fault first as its the less expensive option.

In my excitement I forgot to get a copy of the fault codes so I can check it with you guys on here, but Ill post them wednesday night!

Injector wiring problems are fairly common so there is a very good chance a new loom will fix it.

Cheers Spike

Thanks Spike!

Fingers crossed this solves the problem! Will post again later in the week after shes been to the garage!

I used this site a few years back but never really got into it. This time Im addicted I think, and Im learning sooooo much (never knew I had a pollen filter!!) So thanks to all you great guys for giving your input and sharing your car woes!

Well back from the garage and £202 later I have a new injector loom and a new pollen filter (didnt know I had one till I came on here lol). All seems ok so far and the cars behaving . . . but most of all Im chuffed with the new blowing power of my screen fan! Before it was like gentle breeze . . now its more like a gale with gusto!!
Fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong

I'm assuming you have a diesel?
Injector wiring harness failing is relatively common on the TDis - happened to me a few years ago in fact - sorry I didn't get to your threads earlier to help!
