Hello all,
So I placed my order today:
1.4 TDi Special Edition (so climate and CD are standard)
Silver metallic
Red leather, sports seats (heated)
BOSE
That's about it, spec-wise.
Discount was OK (8%) but not the real bargain basement stuff you get with end-of-line models from volume manufacturers. Hopefully the depreciation won't be too silly (ha ha).
I tested an A2 for a day a few months back, and had another little play today just to be sure this is a good plan. There was a bit of mickey-taking at the Audi dealer when they handed over the keys to the test car. Could I handle the awesome 75bhp of the A2?
[tongue in cheek] Actually come to think of it the fuel economy of the A2 isn't that impressive - my RS4 has 5 times the power but only uses 3 times as much fuel...[/tongue in cheek]
Anyway I'm looking forward to the arrival of my car in 8-10 weeks time. There's not much else out there that's anywhere near as clever, and I'm glad I could get one before Audi drops them. I suspect we won't be seeing an aluminium small car again for a little while.
Thanks to all who advised on options etc,
Richard.
2001 Avus RS4. Standard 380bhp.
