Hi All, I'm new to the forum. Purchased a cracking A2 a few days ago and totally hooked so far! My car has got the Opensky roof and concert stereo upgrade and is a five seater model. Car has done 78k and has a full Audi main dealer service history which I have verified with the two dealers stamped in the service book. The cambelt was only replaced 8,000 miles ago but that was done in April 2011 so theoretically it's about 8 months overdue. The car has been owned by an older couple and has only had light use over the past few years. I've been quoted a fixed price of £599 by the main dealer which includes the water pump but I'm wondering if it really needs it or whether I should use an independent garage who might be cheaper? Also aside from the cambelt question, I've noticed my car doesn't have the interior chrome pack that some other do on here. Is there an after fit solution that i can get hold of...many thanks...

Welcome to the forum! The baby Audi is most addictive.
Yes on tbe time factor I would get the belt and probably the pump done. Bimble along to A2 cars in Milton Keynes. They will be able to help you with any probs and will, I am reasonably confident, be much cheaper the Mr Audi.
