Just won an eBay auction for Black leather seats

Just SE and no lumbar or heating but to me I was very happy (and pleasantly surprised to see my cheeky low bid of £245 win them.

They look good in the pictures (Fingers crossed) and are from a 2005 car. (Isn't it strange that we, or at least I, still see a 2005 as being a newer car than a 2002 or even 2003 car, when it is just that these have had 13 years of people sitting on them, rather than 16 years) LOL

I will let you know if they are ok when they arrive (on a pallet) from Herefordshire on Friday.

Ian (Bargepower) had offered me some black cloth standard seats that he was getting rid of and I struggled in the cold and dark last night to fit them I(I was so keen to get the light grey seats out of the black interior).

Now I will have to take them out again on Friday!!! But it will be nice to see the black interior restored and with leather too!

That means I have a set of black cloth seats available free of charge, they are not bad, just need a clean.

They are destined for the bargain FSI I bought with the tow bar on it. It came with a black interior and light grey seats, so I definitely want black seats in it.

Hello Steve, I'm not sure if you have a separate thread for the black cloth seats however I would to take up the (much appreciated) offer if that's okay and you're not too far. I am willing to pickup if you're within an hour or two from me. I leave in Camberley and work in Chertsey so I hope you're in the south.

By the way,

The leather seats just arrived and what a relief, the only wear is the usual drivers bolster and it is not that bad.

They just need a clean and they will look great, RESULT !!!!!!

Yes that is always important, especially since I have a full set of seats plus one driver's seat in the communal yard at the moment, a trip[ to the dump beckons (they have been out in the rain for a while too!

It was your generosity that started this "black seats, pass the parcel" at least they are going to be put to good use.

One thing that REALLY made me smile was when I unpacked the seats the rear ones had both brackets on them where they had taken out the two bolts on each bracket to remove the rear seats from the car

Mind you, that indicates that they didn't know the A2 and that is probably why I got these at such a good price.

Just got back from from picking up the cloth seats given to me free of charge by Steve B.

As a long time lurker who's only just started posting I am glad to see that helpfulness of the community online very much extends offline and Steve is testament to that.
