Up untill the Audi i used the autoglym rubber & vinyl spay to keep the inside of my cars clean and fresh.

The black door cards in the audi are not liking it all as they have the texured depth to them?

How is every one else keeping these textured parts of the interior clean.

I`m thinking a sponge and generous application may be good i did just try water on the dash below the steering wheel and this has had a reasonable result.

Tell me is there a secret formula or technique that i have yet to discover?

jon.od - I clean the car like yourself with water and a sponge, Ive being doing it that way for over a year and it seems to be the best so far. I did buy a bottle of Audi dash cleaner once but it leaves the dash very streaky.

Other forum members have discussed different products before so im sure there will be plenty of ideas for you to try out.

Ironically I recently had to visit some premises occupied by a car valeter. He was cleaning an A2 with a black interior and as I was in mine we had a chat. He mentioned the plastic door surrounds and the problem he has in getting them clean, particularly water spots. He had Audi technical department round and they suggested to use just plain old water and forget any other interior cleaning products. For the record I use Mer interior cleaner - its diluted before use and is very slightly soapy, but it does the job on my light grey interior.

Water and an artificial chamois!

Why are NEARLY all the A2s in Lichfield are silver ? ? ?

It`s good to know what an economical choice this car. Cheap fuel bills & insurance and no expensive interior cleaning products either. Thanks for the input everyone. Might treat myself to a synthetic chamois and a new small sponge at the weekend!
