Well here is another favourite with lots of A2oc members because it offers far more than just a car show ---Kimbolton Country Fayre the date to add your diaries is Sunday 10th July. Its located in the grounds of Kimbolton castle in Cambridgeshire.

Full details here ---https://kimboltoncountryfayre.com

We will need to confirm final numbers for the A2OC stand by the end of April we can get the correct size pitch so please add your name to the RSVP above. Please don't worry if you can't confirm until later though - we often have places crop up at last minute and you come and park in the main car park too.

One change for people who have been before is that the organisers have e-mailed to say that cars on club display pitches need to be onsite by 11am and will need to remain static until 4pm. Therefore, if you need to arrive later than 11, or leave before 4pm, they would ask that you park in the main car park

We are staying at the Holiday inn Huntingdon race course if you want to stay over . https://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hote...teldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-HI-_-GB-_-XHUHR

This is a great family day out that offers so much more than just a car show. Pay on the day when you arrive. £10 per car, All monies raised go to Charities supported by the Rotary Club of Kimbolton and/or The Sporting Bears.

We will be getting Club Display wristbands so will arrange for those to be distributed when we meet to convoy into the event, or post out if you are arriving a little later.

Please see their web site for up to date info on whats on for the day- this really is a great event that is much much more than a car show. I will be bringing both my A2s to this one and hope to see you there.

Kimbolton is a great day out, I'm definitely coming :D So much to see and do, and a great vibe. This is also the event where it's most likely that members of the general public not orientated with any particular cars will come and connect with us, some great conversations have been had and even some memberships have resulted over the years.

Doh!

Only just up the road from us and would have loved to have come up.

Sadly, we're away on summer jollies then ??.

Hope you all have a great time. Sure it will be a lovely day out.

We had thought that we would be able to join you all for this one. Unfortunately we have a date clash that means we can’t make it after all.

This was always one of my favourite shows

Hello Teresa,

I know registration for this event has since closed and the reason for it. Could you please let me know if anyone withdraws their attendance from this social so I can take their place.

Provisionally just 1 A2 containing the family but can always bring 2 if there is room.

Kind regards,

Tom

Several years ago I met the A2 owners at their stand and was so impressed with their enthusiasm and knowledge and so I went out and bought a Tdi 90 which unfortunately turned out to be the most unreliable car I’ve ever owned. So we parted company but I still love the concept, the look , the seating position , everything except the choppy ride and turbo lag of the diesel. Will try the petrol 1.4 next time which sounds the best bet , and of course the deepest tread tyres that are available.

Good to see you still on these pages @Stevieb. You’re very welcome, still hope to see you in an A2 at some point in the future. Cheers.

Hi Darren. Hope to meet you there in person to thank you for all the support you gave me when I was unsure about my A2 experience. You went out of your way to help even though you were so busy at work.

Buy the best A2.
Buy a good FSI.

Alright all, I forgot I had already registered for this above! I’ve been a few times before and it’s a favourite show of mine.

What’s the plan on meeting up before going into the show?

Our wristbands arrived yesterday, so I wanted to post the meeting point details in time so if you can't meet up before and convoy in with us, I can send your wristband to you.

For Kimbolton, we have two meeting points - the first one is for folk staying at the Holiday Inn Huntingdon Racecourse and we aim to leave there after breakfast around 8.30 am

We then go to the McDonalds, Great North Road, Brampton, PE28 4NQ which is the main meeting point and we will convoy into the show from there no later than 9.15 am

If you are unable to meet up with us before the show, please send me a private message with your name and address and I will post your wristband out to you. Please note that if you do not have one person with a wristband in your car, you won't be allowed onto the display stand.

They have also stressed their licencing requirement that display cars are static on site between 11 am and 4 pm. This means that if you arrive after 11am, they won't be able to allow you to join us on our display stand (you can still park in the public car park and wander across to us)

It also means that if you are joining us on the display stand, you can't leave until 4pm at the earliest. They have said that if cars on display stands do leave before 4, they may not be allowed to hold the event again, so they have asked that if people do feel that there is a possibility that they will need to leave before 4, they park in the main public car park, rather than the display stand

It is going to be great to be back at Kimbolton after 2 years absence - if you have any queries or concerns, please do drop me a message. Thank you Teresa
