Komfortblinker

Well just to update i sent them feedback about this and said that i had posted it on this site, they replyed to say they've had two orders, so i said about some struggling with the german, so i've been E:mailing them about the language problem peeps on here are having, and they came back about ordering it via E:mail which i would presume would be the contact bit on the web page, just waiting for a reply as i asked about paying from this route, so when i find out more i will post update

Cheers Phil

Just to add Phil - I haven't received my order yet, (yes I will be one of the two), but communication has been good to date.

All email correspondence received has been in German, but when I emailed back in English asking for an order update in English - that is exactly what I got.

Top marks thus far.

Yes my order E:mails came back in German but when i've asked a question it has come back in English so i think the order E:mails are a automatic send thing that some companys do, the last E:mail i got was about 1hr ago so they are doing stuff out off hrs aswell which is good.

They are probably taking longer to get to you as you live inland and i'm nearer the coast so thats why i got mine quick lol

Cheers Phil

yeh the grim reeper (not something I thought I would ever yeh about ), once got the translation bit, then had problems on the next page in understanding the registration part. Was on the verge of quitting and possibly meeting original mr grim as it was certainly making me a little grumpy grim  :p

I entered in all the information although hadn't the foggiest on whether I had tagged myself as male or female, (all the parts marked with a star) and it came up with some error message in gobbldigoop and this is the bit that got the better of me and made me give up in the end

Let's do this the right way round....

okie dokie. Cum-cartec.de

1 is the delivery time in days
2 is to add to your cart
3 - show your cart.

your cart:

note the "price per item", total, remove - if you do any of this, hit "aktualisieren" to update.
"Kasse" = Checkout, as mentioned above.

you'll then hit this:

don't bother creating an account, do the guest thing. In the middle.

this is the set of information you'll need to fill out - note the comment on the phone number!

Phone numbers are also used by (for example) UPS these days - I get called before a parcel arrives. So use a valid one.

After that - well, you can now see the address in the top right...
4139925_4adc226fb429f6d9fd2226a0f9c9835d_large.jpg

but there's nothing else to do on that screen. hit "weiter..."

bringing you to here:

Paypal - OK the Ts&Cs or you will get this error:

Since I haven't ordered one for myself, I'm not going to go through the Paypal process, but this should improve things a little. I will order one at some point and I'll try to remember to screenshot it.

When I ordered mine I too had trouble decyphering the site. I opted to pay via PayPal but the site disconnected before I could complete my payment although I got an email detailing my order. Next day I got an email to say my payment had not been received. When I replied indicating the problem the seller sent me PayPal details and I completed my order.

I now await delivery.

Update: Arrived via DHL 09.00 on 3 April. Only 2 days to get here from Germany - excellent service!
Total cost = £56.63

Having bought my Komfortblinker from http://www.cum-cartec-shop.de/produc...vejj53sf3ubml5 as did Phil, I can only recommend the outlet to others.

My order arrived from Germany to the UK in 4 days, was well packaged, came with instructions in English, is a quality product and all communications where spot on.

For those not fluent in German, either a cut & paste into a free translator or thanks to Bret, following his guide when purchasing, is about as difficult as it gets to secure the purchase.

A very good modification that really is beneficial to the daily drive.

I've had a responce back from the them and if you are struggling with the language you can order through E:mail on the web site.
If you click on the link it will take you to the item scroll down, on the left hand side you will see the title infos the first one is contacts but with a K you can see this in bret's images (first 1), they will contact you in English and you should be able to go from there and use Paypal aswell.

I am now coming up with a 404 error message on the website

I am not having much luck with this at all :(

Is the website down or is it just me having issues?

I've been trying to order one from cum-cartec using bretti-kivi's instructions but I get an error at the checkout stage which when translated is "Please accept our data protection policy". I can't see any other reference to this and have emailed them to ask what's going on. No reply 2 days later though.

Update: No problem today and part ordered! Fingers crossed it all goes well ;-)

This looks to be similar, at €23 + €26 for the relay:
http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p754_Comfort-Blinker-Module---1-Touch---3-Blinks---Audi-A2-8Z.html

What isn't clear is whether the optional relay is required, or whether one can use the existing one. Any ideas?

As i posted in the first post not all the ones have worked on the A2 it has had mixed results . Where this product works everytime yes the order page is in German but as i've posted you can E:mail them and should be able to order it that way, they are very good at replying and the replys are in English. You can try the other 1 and if it is ok post you experience on here and then it gives people the choice

Phil

direct translation in answer to my question about the relay / kufatec: "don't bother, it involves messing and you need the relay. You can have mine if you want, I'm buying one from cum-cartec".

The source is good and has spent a lot of time messing :)

Bret

Thanks Bret, thats the thing it maybe a bit expensive but it works and all you do is un plug the old relay, plug in the new lead which has the komfortblinker attached and then plug the old relay on the end of the lead. No cutting, soldering just plug and play
