Kumho ECSTA KH11

Mine have but they are not big enough to protect SE alloys, I have 3 small scuffs in 32000 miles, not too bad and the world will not end as a result of my little mis-demeanours with kerbstones!!

Thanks for your reply.

Looking into Toyo T1-R. Currently available for £51 from mytyres, plus fitting (Around £10). £61 all in or I can get the Kumho for around £50.

Not sure which tyre to get from the two.

I used to have the Toyos on the Little Tank - superb grip but not that long-lasting and a bit skittish on anything other than a dead smooth surface.

I'm extremely happy with my Goodyear Eagle F1s at the moment, and they have a rim protector.

OK, so they're a bit pricier than the Toyos, but they're a fantastic tyre (Tank still manages to wheelspin in 3rd gear though!!).

Cheers,

Mike

I'm not too worried about Toyo tyres wearing quickly because the A2 is my dad's car. He's not heavy footed, so hopefully they will last a bit longer than normal use, ie when i'm driving the car.

Goodyears are excellent tyres, I had these on my old car (Impreza Turbo)

I can second the performance of the F1, I've used Toyo on a chipped Golf and a chipped Sharan, they were good on both, used to get a bit warm on the Sharan but then it's a heavy car and I drove it hard.

Is the goodyear available in 185/50/16? Not listed with Mytyres or Blackcircles.

Thanks

Doubt it! We have been very happy with Kumho's on the front of our TDI75. Just got our second set - first lasted about 17K miles.
