Not sure if it's been raised before, but what is the rough breakdown between the sexes in terms of A2 ownership? There are three other A2s in the small town where I live and including mine, it's a 75% in favour of gentlemen drivers.
Most of the ones I see being driven in Manchester though are piloted by ladies, could it be a big city thing, or is there a regional difference, or is there no distinction at all?

Answers on a postcard - or on the forum.

A2 TDI SE 2001 Ebony Black Pearl (The Little Tank!) Soon to be TDi 90 Sport with the full monty and red leather!

I few years back an A2OC survey was published giving details like this, I think. But now I can't find it anymore on the web page. Maybe it's time for a new survey Stuart? :)

2004 1.4 TDi (90) SE, Cobalt Blue, Climate control, Cruise control, DIS, Sport seats, Winter pack, Symphony II.

A lot of the people on here seem to be blokes, but that might just be an internet thing - or perhaps a car club thing. We bought ours for my wife originally, but she decided she didn't want it and passed it to me. She got an Alfa 156 from Europe (Cam belt snapped before the recommended change date, European warranty doesn't cover cam belts and the firm's gone bust anyway, just had to do £750 work on it at 70,000 miles). It's interesting that historically women seem to have driven smaller cars and men have driven bigger ones. I think a factor may be that the A2 doesn't really feel like a small car when you're sitting in it. Also since power steering the boundaries seem to be blurring. My kids schools at pick up time are full of women in Land Rovers and that never used to be a woman's car. Purely from my observation I have seen women and men driving the A2 - I couldn't say which is more, but as long as plenty of men are driving one I won't feel like David Beckham wearing a skirt.

The car is my wifes but I visit the forum. Like Zoda said, must be an internet/car thing.

Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.
Was a Merlot Red 1.4SE petrol originally.
Now an Ebony Black 1.4SE petrol with Red Leather, CC, Symphony + all the previous options we had.

Me too.
The car is my wifes but I do the A2 Forum bit.
Although I must say, I am as big a fan of the A2 as she is. Unfortunately she was too unwell to come to Castle Coombe recently, but I met someone there (male) who had thought that the car was a ladies car until he drove one. Now he is a fan, and ever so pleased that so many men are seen driving them, just to make him feel better!!

Sept 2001 registered A2 1.4 SE in Crystal Blue metallic, Open Sky Roof, Climate, 'Symphony' 6 CD radio & tape, Bose sound system, curtain airbags.

Me too !

The A2 is hers but i contribute (must get cheque into post). I see more men driving them than women, all age groups as well.

My son loved driving it when he was learning - what he said about his professional instructors 1.7D Corsa was unprintable!

2002 1.4 Petrol SE, silver with climate control for SWMBO (1.4 Petrol SE, Ebony Black, grey leather, heated seats, climate, opensky, five spoke alloys on order) Honda Accord Tourer 2.2 iCDTi for me.
