Our A2 went in three weeks ago for the boot catch to be rectified.

Their car park was still locked at 8:00 am when Sandra went in to leave the car.
When collecting it she was ignored by the service dept for 5 minutes!
I followed her in to the showroom, far enough apart not to appear to be with her, tried to get in to the A8 and A6 (both locked) and I was ignored.

Apart from emergencies we will not be going back.

Why are NEARLY all the A2s in Lichfield are silver ? ? ?

What was the problem with the catch. I think I've got a problem with mine. You drop the hatch and it does not close properly, it's intermittent but when it does happen it takes several attempts to close the hatch properly.

My experience with the dealer, Franklin in Leeds tells me to put up with it until it gets much worse. I probably only use the hatch once a week if that.

This is my second A2 a TDi sport, bought new from Franklin Audi last November, the first was a TDi SE, 6 month old demonstrator from Franklin

The problem we had was that it would not open. The solenoid operated but not the lock. For three days we could only get into the boot from inside the car.

Apparantly there is a solenoid which operates the boot catch via a rod and the rod had become detached.

Thanks for that, I think mine is a different problem. It probably needs adjusting.

Kind regards
