Lateral Acceleration Sensor

I know, I know, there are lots of threads on this subject.

But, mine has been diagnosed as not working & I have the dreaded ABS ASR & Warning sign flashing at me as well as the three beeps of doom.

I have put out a request on "findapart" with no joy.

Anyone got any ideas other than going to the stealers?

I think your car may have the seperate yaw and accel sensors and if so the accel sensor should be p/n 1J0 907 651 A. Check before buying but if so there is one for sale on e.bay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/audi-s3-a...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a713b2d6b

What a fantastic resource this forum is

It never ceases to amaze me how helpful people can be to others who they have never met

Perfect info on finding the sensor, removed it & it is the same part no as advised - ordered a replacement from the fleabay link provided.

Car booked in to have the sensor calibrated a week today.

Pleased to be of assistance, and the 'thank you' is much appreciated. (Sadly, a few people on here don't bother)

For reference, calibration just involves placing the car on level ground and zeroing the sensor so it reads 0.00 m/sec2
