Fantastic achievement. Newer cars with similar engines would struggle to do that. I wonder how much one of these cars(if built today) would cost from new? Audi certainly new how to prove a point.

It’s coast to coast so no real change overall but there are a couple of ‘bumps’ in the way. It’s not called the Highlands for nothing.

According to Google Maps [walking option] Land's End Visitor Centre (on the cliff top) to John o' Groats Tourist Information Centre (at the harbour) is a change in elevation rise of 30,276 ft and a fall of 30,476 ft - so it is downhill ?

An amazing achievement. You must have had a very light touch on the pedal - I would loose patience after 50 miles.
 
I understand the tape on the grille and below the service flap for the fuel economy purposes, but does it not restrict the flow of air through the intercooler ?
Maybe it´s not that significant on cold climates....
