Although I did not buy my A2 from Listers, but they have resolve my problem for me twice, which is better than the Reg Vardy of Leicester, the dealer I got my car from. First fault was easy just a leaky valve on the tire, the second one was the mooing cow sound from behind the dash, which I have a lot of unpleasant experience with Reg Vardy - being accused to be nagging about a charteristic of the car. Lister managed to move all valve and the pipe work away from behind the dash and cured my problem and I am very happy now, enjoying my quiet motoring. Before this, I would never go for another Audi, but now I think Lister has warmed me back to them.

Any chance of letting us in on the secret of silencing the bovine bonnet sounds? If one dealer can put in the effort to find a cure, this should be made common knowledge to all dealers - who then won't have a leg to stand on when that say it's just a characteristic.

All Listers told me was that they moved/re-routed the valve and pipe away from where it was. What I would suggest is to ask your local dealer to contact Listers Audi of Coventry. There telephone number is (024) 7667 5675 and address is 443, Fletchampstead Highway, Coventry, CV4 9BY.
 
There is no reason why one dealer can fix the problem and others can't, should never let them get away with feeble excuses.
