Local Recommended Mechanic/Diagnostic/Scanner To Harlow

Hello A2ers.
I've had a look around the posts, etc, & can't find something definitive to my post title.
Although there is the Free Scan Map post, my nearest is too far away!
So I am looking for recommendations in the Harlow area for a trustworthy mechanic/
establishment/enthusiast/diagnostic I can use for the life of my A2 ownership.
My immediate problem which happened today is,
she started missfiring when I was picking wifey up from train station(not wifey missfiring, my A2)!! :)
Then of course the engine management sign came on!?
She's been running lovely for the last few weeks, and I have only been doing short trips around town!
Any advice on problem or somewhere that can help would be greatly appreciated.

Best guess coil pack on cylinder no2 is usually the likely culprit

Can I ask. Is that an easy job for a mechanic to test for (scan) & then fit if required?
Scan with VCDS is best but other scanners may pick up the fault,
Has your engine got single coil packs for each cylinder or a single unit covering all 4 cylinders?
Photo of engine will will help.
Single unit is prone to failure on the mounting surface can be seen once unbolted from engine block, check multi pack units by looking for odd units & exchange of suspect unit with a good unit following a scan of the car.
Hope that helps
Keith.

Keith. Thank-you so much for pointing me in the correct direction.
Scan showed it was the coil (which was very old) & a single unit was replaced.
The sparkies were replaced @ the same time so hopefully we are now on a path where there is no missfiring!!
Watch this space for more actions and thrills for this new A2 owner!!
I would still be interested in local to me enthusiasts, owners, advisors, etc if there's any about in Harlow!!
