Loose ECU connection?

Hello,

I replaced a coil (non Audi part) about 5 months ago and now it seems it has gone again. I spoke to Audi and they said there could be an issue with the ECU connection which is located under the seat.

Does anyone know anything about this? where the connection is and if it is an easy job to diy?

Many thanks guys, you are life savers.

pull the passenger carpet up, undo the 3 twist clips on the panel, remove et voila a cavity filly with wires and the ECU... I guess you could check the wires and connectors in this area to make sure nothing is lose or damaged

cheers!! Much appreciated, i will let you know how i get on!

on another note do you know ANYWHERE i can get hold of a light grey window winder handle?

Do you actually have a missfire, or is the light just flashing. Get a scan and see what it shows. I replaced all four coilpacks, only to have the light come on, everything was checked harness etc. Then audi mechanic suggested leaving the battery for several hours to restore the ecu, something to do with exceeding the fuel tolerances when driving with misfire...dont know if he was just making it up, but it worked.

Goodluck

it is definitely running on 3 at the mo. If i pull out the replaced coil whilst running it has no effect so that indicates that is the problem, right?

Light is flashing for now but im sure it will stick if i drive it further. I have seriously got fed up with dragging it to garages to get it hooked up as it rarely shows the actual issue.
