Loss of acceleration

Local guy with vcds did a scan cleared any faults found checked all wiring to accelerator and ccu.
was put down to intermittent fault, I've not had any problems since fingers crossed.

I have the same problem on a TDI at the moment, just looking for pointers re the pedal sensors and how hard they to replace if it is them.

Have you tried clearing the two fault codes (pedal and brake switch) you have, using the clear function on VCDS? If not, you could end up chasing a fault that's no longer current. Mac.

Yes Mac, when I cleared them this morning. I then took the car out and drove for approx 30 miles on all kinds of roads and traffic including a motor way run up to 70 mph during that time it was also parked up for a good 45 mins while I called at the doctors. Got back home and obviously because it hasn't thrown a fault like it was doing before ,I proceeded to plug the lappy in and run VCDS and of course, no faults where present.

Strange thing is though, when I cleared the faults first time I then chose to run VCDS again but using the drop down menu where you choose the car that needs testing and it came back with this screen.

I then cleared that and the result is up to now "no faults"......fingers crossed it is now fixed but im not holding my breath to be honest.

Hmmm ... did you fit a new bulb, or bulbs to the stop lights, I remember one looked dodgy. Did the bulb holders and contacts look in good nick? Mac.

I did indeed Mac, the brake bulb on the near side wasn't holding in place very well, it wobbled a bit so swapped that for another and it sat fiem. Think it could just have been that?
