MAF Sensor zenner or not!?

Hi,this is a bit of a punt but I am wondering if any members out there have any ideas on the type of electrical component that is on the outside of the MAF sensor?,my best guess is that it may be a zenner diode but I can’t see any distinguishing marks on it to confirm what it is or what size it is.I ask as I was sent one without this component on it and with the sad demise of Maplin who may have been able to identify it I’m at a bit of a loss,any I input would be helpful thanks

For what I can see, it is a Zener diode. Without the electrical specs, it is difficult to know what voltage it is.
Maybe Tom @timmus will come along and give us some details.

I’ve seen glass bead thermistors that look like that, for example https://uk.farnell.com/honeywell/13...hermistor/dp/1362823?st=Glass bead thermistor
I can’t think of a reason to have a zener diode on the MAF whereas a thermistor can be used to measure the intake air temperature.
