Major A2 problems.

I have had my A2 for a while now so when the engine management light came on while I was driving and didnt go out I was a little concerned.

I checked the car the day after and the light was still on. So after some advice from a friend I disconnected the battery for a few seconds then reconnected. But unfortunately this didnt help and the light was still on.

2 days later when I finally had a day off work I was going to take it into a garage but when I tried to start it - It wont start - Lights all come on dash but refuses to start.

I assumed it must be a battery problem so asked a friend to come out with some jump leads... After listening to the car trying to start my friend said it is definately not a problem with the battery.

As its not the battery preventing the car starting... so now I am stuck for ideas.

My car is stuck in my driveway and I cant even drive it to a garage.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has come across this problem - wanted some info or advice before I get it towed.

Sorry to hear of your woes.

There are many things it could be, coil, fuel related, engine speed sensor the list could go on.

First thing you need to do is, get a diagnostic scan done. That will surely reveal some clues. Ask the person that does any scans for the fault codes. It could be helpful to list them here or even google them.

What engine is in your A2 ???????
