Take off the lid (the one to access the bulbes) then drill a little hole in it upwards so that water cannot come inside from outside lamphouse. Then water will evaporate out of this hole by the warmth of the bulbs. [25]

Dealers used to replace the whole unit until they realised that by drilling a tiny hole would solve the problem. Well thats what a dealership told me.

I don't understand, I thought that the whole problem with these lights is the fact that some/most of the units aren't sealed properly, and other fixes mentioned elsewhere on this site tended to confirm that. Now you are suggesting exactly the opposite to fix it. Is this whole to allow the temp inside the light to be the same as the outside? I can't see how drilling a whole in the light is a good thing to do, by me or the dealership! They need to make sure that the units are correctly sealed, instead of coming up with hacked fixes like this.

I wouldn't drill a hole in it or let anyone else do it. The problem is with the seals. You need to keep the moisture out rather than do anything to introduce more moisture.
Michael, what is your dealer saying about this now, I would have thought this issue would have been resolved by now.
