Monochromatic rear view mirror

Right had one of these on a previous car excellent bit of kit!!

So for you stalwalts of all things A2

1. Can one be fitted too an A2

2. Where can one obtain said mirror

3. Is it an easy fit or will assistance be required (maybe an idiots guide)

4.Are wing mirrors available too

I wait with baited breath for the deluge of information i know will be forth coming:):):)

If by monochromatic you mean auto dipping, then the answer is yes, they can be retrofitted and I've done 3 such retrofits for members as well as my own.

The mirrors are around £120 new (or, if you fall lucky like Murdo, you can get them from Ebay for £40!) and wiring needs to be made up and spliced into the footwell.

If you want a quote, drop me a PM - unless you are an experienced auto electrician I'd urge you to have it installed by someone who knows what they're doing.

As to wing mirrors, they were never an option and as the shape of A2 wing mirrors is unique, there is nothing else out there that'll fit.

what model do they come from?

The one I got from eBay came from an A4. Mike will let you know if other models fit I am sure. Its a really nice wee extra toy. Go for it! :D
 
I looked at this when i was getting a lot of bits for my car but, as i've got the blinds in the back don't realy need 1.

Hey Dave you'll find nothing on the A2 is just a simple fit, but thats what gives them that uniqueness (if thats even a word, or spelt right lol)

and although i have always tinkered with small jobs on my own cars am now realising most jobs on the a2 need more thought:):):)
But funnily enough i like it so much i'll try and show some patience and collect the bits ready to call Mike or sarge and cost the fitting:):):)
