More problems

Hey all,

Diagnosis said it was ABS sensor fault. Got it replaced and still the braking managment failure warning is still on. Now they think it's the ABS control unit which is going to cost me about 1700euro. Arrrgghh.. And to make my day worse. Some one dented/scraped my car (on a different side from the one I just had redone like a month ago) without leaving details. Am I just plain bad luck? I'm way over being broke 'cos of this car now.

Cheers,

ABS controllers can be repaired for about £200, so it's not the end of the world.

I'll look up the item in which this service was featured in a recent Audi Driver magazine when I get home.

Cheers,

Mike

If it's really about 200£ that would not be so bad but the mechanic thinks it could be main control unit. I hope he's wrong. the car is going to be booked for computer main frame analysis... whatever that means...

Not had a chance to look at he past issues yet, but for starters, have a look at this:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/guyrogers69

You'll notice that he has an A4 unit complete with a 2 year warranty for £320. Drop him a line and he might be able to sort you out or put you onto someone who can.

Cheers,

Mike

I have now had a chance to look up the article, featured in last Decembers Audi Driver.

Guess what?

The repairer in question is the same chap on Ebay!

Cheers,

Mike
