Im just back from the motorshow, while there I paid a visit to the Audi stand to see the "floppy wiper" that people are on about, so I now understand what you mean. A trip to my dealer is called for now I think.

p.s. for anyone who's going be sure to visit the bentley stand to see the new gt coupe, and also the new ferrari enzo.:)
 
I've just booked tickets for this Saturday, I'm looking forward to seeing the Bentley GT - what about that new MG?

Will be interesting to sit in another A2 and compare - what have they got there?

I am going to the motorshow tomorrow (29/10)...I can't wait!!

For those of you that go there over the next few days, you may spot a few A2OC stickers here and there as I am taking a handful and may graffiti the place if I can find somewhere interesting and not too criminal to stick them along with a few flyers!

If anyone else is going there tomorrow...maybe I'll see you there. I'll be the nerdy looking chap with glasses, standing on the Audi stand most of the day taking hundreds of digital snaps of their A2s!

the new mg looks stunning and has the performance to match, round about 400 bhp, and available soon is a 962 bhp version !!

The Bentley GT COUPE is well worth a visit, thats me saving up for one now. :D

The A2 has the sports pack, sat nav,tv,BOSE,every extra in the catalouge basically, I think the car on the stand was a light purple (could be silver though as the lighting in the nec is funny)

Watch out for the ford stand, every so often they have an acrobatic display.
 
I've now uploaded a selection of my motorshow photos from yesterday onto the club website. It's worth having a look at the wiper design of the A2 and the VW Touareg shown in the photos. I had a great day looking at many stunning cars and several other stunning things worth looking at...

Apart from loving the Bentley (hire purchase £500 a week for only 15 years), I especially like the design of the Peugeot Sports diesel.

I'm off to the NEC tomorrow - to see if I still want an A2, and if I do whether I'd like open sky or not. So they only have 1 A2? How am I supposed to decide???

I expect to be taking some pics/video, so if you really want a pic of something...
 
Yes, they only have one A2 on the stand and cunningly, it has every conceivable option. If you don't fall in love with the one on the stand, then you never will!

Gav - it's doubtful I know, but I'm intrigued to know if my stickers/flyers are still in the show car. Can you let me know please?!

Funnily enough, I was deliberately trying to be ambiguous there!

No offence to anyone...but as you will see by my photos, Audi do seem to have acquired the best looking young ladies for their stand, and placed a few of them around the A2 - which no doubt has dramatically increased the interest in the car!!

ive looked at the motor show pics on the A2OC website, and the red car on the vauxhall stand which you said you didn't know what it was is the new replacment for the tigra
 
Thanks - I've corrected the caption.

By the way, I forgot to mention - I asked the very nice Audi rep when the A2 was to be axed and she assured me that it was due to be produced until 2007 and not 2004 as discussed on the forum a few weeks ago. Has anyone heard anything different?

I'll certainly be looking for the flyers. If I don't find them I may bring it up with an Audi rep, as I ought to show a real interest!

Unfortunatly I have to try not to fall in love with a model other than a car at the show - due to my girlfriend acompanying me...

You should be able to mention to your girlfriend the beauty appreciated in a nicely styled rounded rear end, but don’t do it whilst viewing a Ford Transit van :D

Stuart - no stickers or flyers to be found in the A2... I didn't get a chance to ask a representative when she took my particulars. The A2 seemed a very popular car on the Audi stand, so hopefully they can sell some more... I didn't take any pics of it as it was so crowded. However I liked the wiper!

My trip answered my Open Sky question - it doesn't seem worth it - it's worse than a regular sunroof to me. Perhaps it would be good on a dark interiour??? To be honest I wasn't overly impressed. I like the looks (as opposed to loving them), but not many cars these days really get my pulse racing on loks alone. I looked also at the Leon, but didn't like it as much. However the Skoda Fabia estate caught my eye - well priced as well. That along with the 206SW are cars to add to my list of possibilities. The A2 is still in the running, but I'll wait for my brochure and test drive before deciding on the folkstone meet...

Before we bought the A2 we had a look at the Fabia estate as well (with the 100hp TDi PD), but the thing I absolutely disliked about it was the interior... when you fold the rear seat you can see the filling of them out in the open...:-(
But on the other hand, it is well priced, and if they made it with a prettier interior, the might lose too much VW sales (the same with the Octavia)...
