Mounting towbar; bulb monitoring required?

Would like a confirmation that the following is correct;

1) full display DIS=bulb monitoring?
2) half display non DIS=no bulb monitoring

Thus for my 2005 TDI90 non-DIS I can fit the towbar with 13 pin plug without considering any bulb monitoring?

I believe so, our TDI with DIS appears to be simply piggybacked to the rear n/s cluster(mostly).
 
there is a cable forward to the KSG on the "check control" cable sets. Installation instructions for the Jaeger sets - and they're pretty much all Jaeger sets - are halfway down this page: https://en.erich-jaeger.de/products/product-category/wire-harness-vehicle-specific/audi-a2-02.00

If there's check control - i.e. full DIS / FIS - fitted, then the additional resistance of the trailer may well mean beeps all the time when the trailer is connected. Without check control, it shouldn't really matter.
