Posted on behalf of Murdo, pictures of his lovely TDI 90.

M has spent the day lavishing attention on the A2. In summary, the following application has left the black coachwork and interior looking fresh and very shiny.

- Power wash rinse followed by Hamber snow foam (5 minute rinse off)
- 2 bucket hand wash and Bilt Hamber clay bar
- Vacuum and wash of interior plastics; including power wash of rubber mats
- Race Glaze 55 wax applied to A2's body
- Tyres dressed with Race Glaze rubber dressing
- Leather feed applied to seats

Stunning results for this daily family driver.

Thanks Darren. I'm not able to upload pictures from my phone very well. User incompetence the tech will be fine !

I'm really pleased with the way the A2 is holding up. We bought it in July 2008 with 45k miles and it's arguably in as good condition now as it was then. I keep it well maintained but not obsessively so - therefore testimony to the build quality of these wee beasties. I didn't think for a second when I bought it that it'd still be on the driveway 8 years later and excepting accident damage - its highly unlikely to ever leave my ownership. Brilliant wee cars. Love them.

I seen Murdo's A2 several times and it's always looking fresh, one of the sharpest and best looking A2's in Ebony Black around!

Boy do you guys go all out when it comes to detailing,

As mentioned on the 'Today I' thread, I was very excited today to pick up my A2 after its been off the road since late August. I bought a refurbished rear axle and ancillaries from @Birchalls Son. Thank you ?. Then a broken spring at MOT time prompted me to bring the underbody refurb forward. Thanks to @A2Steve for recommending Eibach Springs. So I have a refurbished rear beam and anti roll bar. All new bolts and fixings. New heat shield fixings in most places. New brake cables. New clips. On top of that an oil service and MOT. I've only covered about 600 miles since the last service. ?
Car was treated to a detail and full ceramic wax. Jobs still to do are sand and polish my headlights. Tried and failed before. (I've got the right kit now.). An underbody detail and waxoyl all the newly refurbished metal. And I'll polish up the stainless exhaust for good measure. On the look out for a storage lock up now. After 12. 5 years of ownership Ada is retired to third car and a pampered hobby princess. ❤️❤️?

The end of something. The start of something else.

Today was a landmark day in my A2 ownership. I've been looking for a suitable storage facility for my wee Ada as she's now rarely used and is firmly in the 'hobby car' category for weekends and club meetings. When we can. Managed to secure a great wee lock up 5 minutes walk from home. Dry and secure. So a quick valet and away she goes. 12.5 years and never to part ❤️

I know there are still many TDI’s hammering up and down the country giving reliable service, but I think there may well be more of this happening over the next few years.

I’d certainly like to have something bigger for transporting the growing family but would never be without an A2.
