My 1st Audi service (Central Console Rattle HELP)

Hi!
Today I left my A2 in the Audi garage.
Besides the 15.000 Km service these were my complains:

- Noise on central console
- Gearbox vibration (5th gear @ 3000 rpm, full throttle)
- Windscreen washer (just to adjust)
- Noise on rear right electric window (opening or closing)
- Front side windows (difficult to close, sometimes it remains in between)
- Front side windows (wind noise)

And thats about it...

I've had a quick reply by the Audi representative on the wind noise from the front side windows:
"(...) As you probably know, the cars are not hermetically closed, otherwise you would suffocate inside(...) so this noise is absolutely normal(...)"

In the afternoon I've received a phone call saying that they will deassemble the dashboard (to find the origin of the rattle) and they are also waiting for an order from Audi mothership to, probably (hope not) replace the gearbox!!! [27]

More news to come... tomorrow!

Hi!
I went to pick up the car and the two major problems are still to be solved.

The gearbox will have something changed (as soon as the part arrives) and the central console still have the same noise...

I need your help in order to identify the things/parts Audi changed on your car to solve that central console noise.

Please reply with additional information (this was a specific request from the Audi garage in order to quickly identify possible origins)

One dash rattle I had was cured by the dealer pulling out the radio/climate panels and ensuring the cables behind were secure, taped together and away from dash as much as possible.

But each noise is individual to the car so good luck!

I have the same problem at gearbox with my Audi A2 1.4 TDI... (January 2003 with 14.000km)

As far as I know Audi will start by replacing the gear lever.
But almost for sure that is not the origin of the problem....

Regarding the console rattles, didnt anyone replace the heater to solve this? (I have the idea.. I dont know if its my imagination or i've read it somewhere)
