Well, after 2 weeks wait, I took my A2 to my dealer in St Albans to have a few squeks and rattles (and non opening service flap) fixed, i was there friday at 11am as arranged.

Half an hour later a service tech finally came to see me so we could take the car on a quick test drive to demonstrate to rattles etc. Came back, signed form, handed over my keys and took keys of A2 courtesy car.

Before leaving I checked that I would be called when it was ready and set of back to work.

When it got to 5 pm on friday and dinner was ready (thanks Mum) I phoned to dealer to see what was going on as I hadn't had a phone call, to be told the car was just about to go in and someone was working till 6 to do the job. I was told I would get a call later to let me know what was happening.

Can u guess what happened next?

Your right - I didn't get a call. So although no problem to me as I still had courtesy car- a simple phone call was all I was promised!

Saturday morning and off to the garden centres to buy some plants etc etc and with mobile fully charged with me - still no call.

Saturday came and went - planting plants etc etc

Sunday (today) and I dont know whats going on with my car - it may have not even been in to be fixed, and I dont know when I'll be picking it up.

So at the moment there is a foreign (well silver and mine's cobalt blue) A2 on the drive and for all I know, mine could be sitting on the forcourt of Executive Audi (even worse it could be being driven around by-no, no, I'm sure they wouldn't) waiting for me to pick it up.

I'm now in the situation where I think I shoudn'y have to phone them to find out what is happening, but if I don't will I ever see my car again (see what 2 days without my A2 is doing to me!)

I will await monday and see what happens.

Kslevi,

Perhaps the next part of the game will be that you will receive a mysterious telephone call threatening that if you want to see your baby back again you will need to leave £5,000 in a brown paper bag outside your Audi dealers.

I suppose it’s a mute point to mention that whilst Audi dealers speak of “Customer Care” it does not follow that it’s actually available. It could be an option that the customer has to ask for at the time of purchase.

kslevi-similar thing happened to me-my A2 was in for repairs, no phone call to say it was ready so I turned up....and it wasn't ready (thanks Robinsons Auid, Norwich). It was my own darn stupidity to assume it would be ready. I did apologise to the service desk for troubling them and offer some cash towards the extra 10 miles I would put on the courtesy A2. I felt so silly about my prsumptive nature.

I'm not bitter...

Well the way it sounds to mei is that you was given a courtesy car (possible newer than your own?) dunno if yours had more options or not, but is not having your A2 back such a big thing from what you have said its onluy the colour thats different, Cheer up you just inherited a brand new A2 courtesy car:D.
