Coming along nicely. I need to do something about the laquer peel on the bonnet next.

There is no laquer peel on the bonnet..... there's no laquer on it!

Out of curiosity - is there anyone on the forum that are able to produce the brackets for A3/TT seats? I am quite tempted by the TT/A3 or other model seats but i do not have any of the tools i'd need to machine a metal bracket (unless it is literally a basic square thing with some holes?), from posts about TT seats the bracket is a bit bent etc. looks like a fair amount of work especially without tools?

I should have measured them up before we fitted them into Steve's car. Will have a scratch around to see if I kept my sketches. They are not difficult to fabricate, and made from 25 x 8 bar.

Gives me some confidence then to tackle it as i can get a disk cutter and a drill, sounds simple enough :) from a post of fitting TT seats bracket seemed to be cut from a flat piece of metal and then needed to be bent as well from memory.

Hi Steve,
these S3 seats are electrically adjustable, if I'm not mistaken.
Does this still work ?
How was it wired ?
Also very interested in the pictures of the brackets, and other "fittings"...
Thanks :)

Yes, lots of electric adjustment and also heated. I'll be wiring the seats into the cigarette lighter for the adjustment when I get chance. Bit busy at present with breakers so I haven't had chance to do any more with my car.

Great day today and great progress made. @Jellybean popped over and we swapped the platinum sports seats into his car and a set of TT 16 inch alloys.

In return I got a set of aftermarket 17 inch alloys that really suit the colouring of my car and these beauties

To say I’m over the moon would be an understatement. Thanks again Bob ???
Looks like my old s3 seats have been in a few different motors now

That they have. I think they have found their permanent home now though :)
Good seats......I had them wired in properly to the a2 looms, only reason i took them out is they weigh a ton, would look better with s3 headrests also, and they tilt.Got a mint set of black heated sport seats fitted in now

Yep, I think Bob and I can attest to that. I think my plans for a leightweight "performance" A2 have given way again to appearance.

Looks incredible, again admire your determination and commitment.

Out of interest what wet sand grade did you use? I have practiced on a panel before and the wet and dry quality was crap and disintegrated causing heavy scratching despite not over wetting it etc.

What compound do you prefer Steve?
