My New A2 Colour Storm

Hi guys, new member here

Just today picked up an A2 1.6 FSI Colour Storm in Misano Red (well I say me, but its the girlfriends car!)

It's an SE I believe, but has the 17's, rear parking sensors, rear bench, cd changer. . . only 31k on the clock

Couple of Q's. . .

1. It needs a cambelt change - is Audi the best bet? Or any recommended Indy's. . .

2. Radio reception seems poor, anyone know where the arial is located so check out the connection

Hi and Welcome! NICE CAR!

It's missing something ...errr....ah yes, A2 club stickers ;)

Servicing - Both Indy and Stealerships, depends on your location really, have a nose around forum for some leads in you area.

Aerial - I think it is integrated into the rear screen heater, again nose around forum to find info on how to fix issue.

Looks lovely. Well done on the purchase and joining the team 'officially' :D

I'll nose about the forum for the recommended independants for the cambelt

The car comes up really well with a polish, and got some back to black for the trim (pics were before this) and it really does look fantastic for a 5yr old car

I used to have an A2 1.4TDI sport for a company car a few years back when I worked for the VW Group and so I knew what fantastic little cars these are, I was getting upto 70mpg ! amazing

Gfriend was looking for a Mini at first, but I soon swayed her, we test drove a couple and they are so inferior IMO to these bad boys in so many ways

Go for a drive anywhere and you see about 10 mini's. . . A2's a rare, colour storms even more so!

Theres some pictures of the badges on Ada if you look at my photo album. I have them on the rear doors bump strip as per Audi Sline (pre 2008) If you search 'a2oc badge' theres a few threads on it and some better photos I would wager. There was a long debate about where the best place to stick them was :D

I've just sold my S4 cabrio today, so thinking about getting myself an A2 . . .thinking about the Imola Yellow colour storm! there's one at Audi at a good price

Any thoughts on the yellow ones . . .

I really like them, which is a bit odd -because I'm not a lover of yellow cars normally. Although the matrix interior in yellow is not my cuppa at all.The nicest yellow TDi I have seen is for sale on the forum David - and it has leather! :D

Theres a 1.6 FSI with the sport wheels at Audi down here up at £5,590. Thats before haggling and with 1 yrs warranty.. . . . albeit its on 60k

Im going to look at a black 1.4tdi sport tomorrow. . . im now looking to have an A2 as a second car as I've bought another RS 6 this evening :eek:
