My 'not meant to be a project', project

And the cupra r splitter is no more. It's had a couple of close calls but today it met its match with a big speed hump :-(

Looking spot on---really like the colour coded grill. Such a lovely weekend for car detailing, but not for loosing splitters !

Looking great Steve; love the attention to detail with the wheel bolt covers - very complementary.

Thanks Darren but Mrs A2Steve doesn't agree, her words were 'it's a step too far, you're not 17 anymore' its a good thing she's not in charge of the mods then isn't it :)

Great job Steve. I remember doing the same on my old, now Mike's TDI, except I removed them and used Hammerite silver and brushed it on. Very rewarding and makes such a difference.

How much do I really want a TT when the A2 looks this good, to sell or not to sell that is the question :)

Not to sell IMHO. Aside of the fact that you have invested your time, effort and money into shaping the car as you have, and to your credit created a stunning example in the process, its aluminium construction will outlast the TT too. Better fuel econonomy, less tax, less insurance costs... keep it, lol! :)

The car owes me £6500 and thats with no labour costs. I'd probably get back around £3500 so there is merit in not doing it for the financial loss :)

Perhaps I should just start a TT jar in the house and put a fiver in it whenever I can :)

Keep it and when your ready to scratch the itch of a performance Audi,i whole heartily recommend, then buy a performance quattro of some kind,a TT would be sensible given the very low prices at the moment.;)

Great photo by the way!

Spot the new mods,

- tinted window blinds
- black rear numberplate panel a la 'the project'
- matching roof gutter strips

They are marmite mods but I really like them.

Thought I'd list my planned future mods/work:

- coilovers
- powdercoat the alloys
- MYP 6 speed gearbox
- turbo upgrade
- intercooler upgrade

The only thing stopping the plans at present are two little bundles of joy that zap my finances on a regular basis (but then I wouldn't change that for the world) :)

Ordered an Allard tuning EGR delete kit yesterday. My egr has been mapped out already but just want to remove the restriction of the butterfly.

I'm also considering this
2.25-universal-intercooler-kit-type-s-550x140x62mm-116.99-1239-p.jpeg
It won't be liked by the OEM guys and will need a bigger turbo in time to see any benefit but it will certainly be something I haven't seen done yet
