My 'not meant to be a project', project

Fitted the Egr delete kit tonight. A quality item and despite already having my egr function deleted when remapped I can feel a difference with it fitted.

Spot the new mods,

- tinted window blinds
- black rear numberplate panel a la 'the project'
- matching roof gutter strips

They are marmite mods but I really like them.
can you post your photos here please, photo bucket won't show them

I know Louis. I onky had those photos stored on photobucket. I'm unable to post them directly to the forum using my Samsung phone. I've raised it as an issue with the team.

Today my throttle body finally gave up the go and I had to plod home doing no more than 50 at full throttle. It would seem that its currently stuck somewhere near closed as there's no power in the car and I got a shudder on switch off so some air is getting through.

I've tried cleaning it twice over the last 6 months but it would seem that the motor has now had it. It probably isn't helped by its close proximity to the exhaust manifold.

I've ordered a new replacement rather than going secondhand but its wiped out my money for coilovers jar :-(

What does this actually do for the car / performance?

Cheers,

It's only really suitable for the BHC and ATL engine codes so the later model TDI's. I found the car drives smoother with it fitted and the car pulls harder on acceleration. If fitted you will need to ensure that the egr has been mapped out during your remap. If tge egr has been mapped out then the only gain you will have is the fact that the restriction of the rod for the egr flap is removed meaning better flow of air into the inlet manifold.

The guy who did my remap told me that his map took out the egr system but it looks like this wasn't the case because since fitting the delete pipe its brought up an egr fault code.

I'll have the car remapped again in time once its had more work so will get it deleted then.

Getting some work done this week ahead of the Welsh Social on 26th.

- Just picked up a new SEAT Leon cupra R splitter to replace the one I trashed a few months back.
- Having a rear wheel bearing replaced due to an MOT failure
- Having a Votex rear spoiler fitted on sunday....obviously the one one i'm most excited about :)
